How well is your organisation working? Are you efficient and effective? Do you measure the right things to help you know?  Are you focussed on outcomes not merely on outputs?  I am experienced in assessing the performance and governance of not-for-profit bodies, identifying their strengths and weaknesses and helping them to deliver what really matters. I have considerable experience in using the Standards of Good Regulation to hold a mirror up to regulatory bodies and assists with improving governance and board effectiveness and strategic planning.

Mentoring

If you are new to a management role or needing support with a complex organisational problem I may be able to help you. My approach to working with people is based on confidentiality and trust. I will help you to analyse the problem, to understand the other people involved and will guide you to find your own solution and to implement it. Change Management

Effective organisations are constantly changing but sometimes there are big changes which need a project management approach. My focus is on the people; what do they think, how do they feel, how will they be affected? Managing change in an organisation is not only a matter of logic models, flow charts and business plans, it is about social change, about culture and about communication. I work alongside organisational leaders to provide a check and balance on their plans to help you achieve the changes you desire.

Webinars & conferences

I have more than thirty years of experience of conference presentations and smaller group workshops. I am as comfortable with an international conference of a thousand people as I am with ten people learning together. I avoid jargon and aim for clarity of message. I will work with you in advance so that I understand the audience and the outcome you are looking for.
